I’m torn between the Anniversary Mixer and Seed of Darkness Horror Costume Party @ ZOUK! Both happening on the same night, Dec 16th.

I promised to go for the mixer weeks back, so, i guess i will have to give up on supporting Oliver at Zouk.

Hmm..history of salsa….

Salsa is not easily defined. Who invented salsa? The Cubans, Puerto Ricans? Salsa is a distillation of many Latin and Afro-Caribbean dances. Each played a large part in its evolution.

Salsa is similar to Mambo in that both have a pattern of six steps danced over eight counts of music. The dances share many of the same moves. In Salsa, turns have become an important feature, so the overall look and feel are quite different form those of Mambo. Mambo moves generally forward and backward, whereas, Salsa has more of a side to side feel.

Salsa is sexy. I am sexy, and therefore we click instantly. It was like love at first sight 

I wanted to start salsa beginning of the year, but i never had the chance to. And a few introductions to salsa in our Muhib-Boogie session, I’ve decided to enrol in proper class. And i did.

But the thing is most of my gal friends don’t particularly like salsa so I don’t have friends to join in the class. They prefer hippin and hoppin. I am still trying to convert them.

For example:

Me: Eh, come for free salsa class la. This fri. It’s fun.

YK: Hmm..i don’t know how.

Me: That’s why you should come. You might like it.

YK: Any cute guys?

Me: Nope. But the dance itself can be very sexy. And you can pick up as many guys as you want later on.

YK: No guys = No motivations

Conclusion: This convertion is going to take a long time.

Nevertheless, I had lotsa fun with Salsa.

If you ask my friends the meaning of birthday. They can summarised in one word. DRUNK.

The best present to get your friends for his/her birthdays are Vodka, JD, Jim Beam, Bacardi, Gin and many more. Birthdays are for friends to get together and get drunk.

Sher actually booked an apartment to accomodate all drunkards, well done. (thanks her dad for paying it)

There are lotsa Pizza that nite. I think i ate half of it.

There are lotsa Vodka. I didnt managed to finish all of it.  I left for another function at Velvet
