Dancing hiatus
We had another salsa outing, this time it was at Divan, Eastin Hotel. I was kinda excited as it was a new salsa opening night for the club, and finally a place to salsa in PJ!! It was an anticipation for me because the only salsa club that I visited frequently is Salsa Havana and I’ve only been to Little Havana once.
I was hoping for something posh, glamorous and fabulous club!
There I was with a joyful mood (after watching MU beat Liverpool 1-0), can’t wait to dance! Paid 25 bucks and walk into a room full of

people! It was pack and people were dancing everywhere! I was shocked to learn that the place can’t accommodate the number of dancers there- cause the people who was walking in and out kept disturbing and hitting on those on the dancefloor. The bar was right in the middle. *Nightmare*
Well, if you thought that wasn’t bad. There were actually false advertising. RM25 entrance fee that we paid, supposed to cover 2 soft drinks. But all I got was a glass of orange juice. And please let me defined further. Orange juice apparently is cordial mixed water… sucks. Come on, how much does a can of orange juice cost?
The place was “hot”…I meant literally HOT… I sweat even before hitting the dance floor. Talking about the dance floor..it is not the best ground to dance to. It’s too sticky and it makes it hard for the girls to spin. Songs selections aren’t my favorite, though they played quite a few good ones. And..what was wrong with the lighting? It was too bright for a salsa club. As the matter of fact for any clubs. I don’t feel seductive under those lights for sure.
Despite all that, I must give credit to the club manager. He tried hard to mend all broken bridges. Like rolling up the carpet on the hallway so that more people can dance (and not trip), adding fans and he even make a promise to patch up. *I really hope they did*
Overall, it was still a fun fun fun outing because I’m accompanied by Salsajayers. So, let’s all hope that Divan management could answer to our “hungers”.
