I’m feeling 21 all over again

September 5, 2008

This is such an outdated post. Nevertheless, I still want to post it up because for the very first time, after a long long time *ahem* not that long la…I’m feeling like a 21 years old all over again!

It was Su’s birthday. 21st birthday!!! Su.Su.Su. Even tho we have such big small age gap, we clicked instantly :)  She’s like this lil’ sister I never had. Being the only child in the family, I would love to have a sis!! Someone to shared my wardrobe, handbags (guess these are the only things I’d share) Someone to bitch about life, Exes (like an ex who is cheapskate enuff to keep my stuffs, and then gave it to his gfs, *then bragged about it, as tho he is damn bloody cheapskate thoughtful* for heaven sake throw it away lor emoticon) How would I describe Su in just one word? Real. She is real. No faking it. That’s wht i love most about her. And also because she is sarcastic and somehow we shared the same sarcasm..hehe.

Thanks to Su, for inviting me to her bday celeb. Tho I felt out of place at first, but then all the other bloggers were really nice young, coz they thought I was 21, 22 and one of then even said I was 20!!! emoticon

Our very own Threesome.

Our foreplay session.

The other Stephanie. I heart her too!!

Me fitting into the 18-21 age group emoticon

I love this pix of me and Su. Thanks to Andrew. I curi from him!

That night when I was driving home from dinner, was just thinking to myself how I miss being young and carefree, having a great bunch of friends to party everyday, no commitments. Those were the time when I was away from curfews and parents!

My girlie room back then

My lappie, my TV, my chair.

Me with Becky on my 23rd bday celeb :)

My Uni Mates. Damn hiao-beh tahan!emoticon

I’ll always remember you Lena.

They love me butt

Dont drink and gamble. You’ll get cheated!

Aww……………….Those were one of the best days of my life!!

P/s: Su, please go get urself a bday present. You wanted a nice black heels. Rite? Might not be able to go shopping with you anytime soon. So, just send me the bill emoticon

Sinful Weekend

September 2, 2008

Ok, this post is rather painful. I have just spent RM1,000 on shopping + food this long Merdeka weekend. I didn’t realize until I made a simple calculation last night. I had to throw the calculator away! Damn, I can really shop lor.

Was telling Ling that the amount of money I spent, I could have had bought a flight tix to Gold Coast with Air Asia Zero Fare. But, hey, I’ve got an increment and a so called promotion; I should pamper myself a little rite?  Yes, it’s the right thing to do emoticon

Can’t wait for Matta Fair this weekend. I need to go somewhere before end of the year!!!! *with hunnie of coz* So happy that we get finally booked for our Hong Kong trip next year. Most importantly, I get to see Kitty, my best friend from HK. It’s amazing how we got so close. She was in Malaysia for a conference and I was working for that event company. Therefore, for my coming HK trip I can save on my accomodations and spend all my money on Shopping!!!

Kitty and her beloved Bf!! Miss you babe!

I’m frustrated!!! I was sick and went on MC but work piled up higher than my office in 19th Floor.

It’s FRIDAY!! And Keep your desk messy!

July 19, 2008

Work been crazy this whole week. I didnt really have time to clean up my desk…the last time was few months back *i think*

It’s really bad, looks something like this.

But somehow my brain works better when i’m stressed up and messy. Maybe I should just keep it that way.

I came about this article. Interesting.

Messy desk = ordered mind, expert says

By CAROL SMITH
SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER COLUMNIST

Is a cluttered desk a sign of genius or just hopeless disorganization?

I had plenty of opportunity to ponder this question during a recent office move that involved packing multiple (I dare not say how many for fear the storage police will come after me) boxes of back files.

Now a certain Jay Brand has unwittingly come to my rescue and allowed me to save face among my colleagues who were able to fit all their office belongings into two allotted "hot files" for the move.

Brand, a former psychology professor, is now a "cognitive engineer" at office furniture giant Haworth Inc. in Holland, Mich.

He says, and I quote: "A clean desk isn’t always the sign of a productive employee."

Phew.

"In fact, a clean desk can hinder worker efficiency."

I love this guy.

The premise is that people use their desk space as an extension of their minds.

"The human mind, specifically short-term memory, has a limited capacity," Brand said. "It has seven, plus or minus two, ‘chunks’ available for storing things.

"Since most people are doing seven things at once, they tax the capacity of their working memory almost immediately."

They need a place to "offload" some information from working memory into the environment.

Information placed into the environment this way is known as a "cognitive artifact."

"It expands a person’s capacity to think," Brand said. "You’re using the environment to think as well."

Companies that promote, or require, clean desk policies are in essence giving their workers "environmental lobotomies," he said.

"Essentially, you’re required to destroy the context of your work every night and recreate it the next morning. It’s wasted time."

Each time people clean their desks, they lose the embedded cues that their cognitive artifacts provide, Brand said. "Workers in such environments can sometimes feel like they spend more time getting organized each day than working on actual projects."

Brand himself confesses his work group — the industrial design division at Haworth — has a reputation for being difficult to clean up around.

Everyone has a different working style, he said. As long as people’s piles mean something, they’re useful.

People think differently. Some people lay out their projects left to right. Others use a top down method.

Piles may be organized by topic, chronologically, or some highly idiosyncratic system. Different strategies work for different people, Brand said. Using space to think, however, is not an excuse for being a pack rat, he said.

Rats.

"I don’t advocate people be messy as an end in itself," he said. "You have to have some method to your madness."

Most people never use 80 percent of the stuff they file away, and 60 percent of the stuff on their desks.

Current projects tend to attract all kinds of paper. But once a project is finished, cull through the file, then put the rest in storage, Brand said.

Other tips include using multiple surfaces to layer information. Shelves can help separate information so ideas don’t get lost.

Moving things around in the piles also helps refresh their significance, he said. "Post-it notes, pictures, magazine articles, lists and charts lose their meaning and become virtually invisible if left alone."

Also, keep your most important projects and priority items within your personal "strike zone."

Retailers have long known that people’s attention is most often focused on items placed in view between their shoulders and their hips. Anything higher or lower is less likely to get noticed. You can apply the same strategy to the papers in your work environment.

The concept that my desk with its drifts of paper, and stacks of things I can’t bear to toss may be an extension of my inner brain is a scary thought.

Then again, a clean desk is a blank slate.

And that’s an even scarier one.

Have a Messy desk people!!!!!!!emoticon

24 ways to keep love and sex alive

July 18, 2008

A good friend forwarded me this article. Thought I’d be nice to share this with anyone who’s in love,in the middle of love, out of love or looking for love.

Both love and sex keep a relationship going. Love between two individuals cannot achieve fulfillment without sex and having sex with no feeling of love for your partner has no meaning at all. So, you have to keep both of them alive. How can you do that? Here are our suggestions:

1. Always make your spouse feel special. Keep on showering compliments on her looks and sexual charm. It will be quite rewarding for her if you tell her how beautiful she looks.

2. Surprise your partner by presenting flowers and other lovely gifts without any specific reason. These little things sometimes make a relationship worth continuing.

3. You two may have been together for several years, but don’t forget to take your spouse out for occasional dates. There’s seldom a better alternative than choosing an old place where you used to go often for a date. It will revive your salad days of courtship.

4. Make your dates as romantic as possible. You can light candles or play some melodious numbers in the background.

5. You can go for a long evening walk together. Don’t forget to hold hands while walking by the riverside or strolling through the country roads.

6. Jump into the bathtub with your beloved. Say cheers and sip glasses of wine while cuddling passionately in the tub. Having a shower together will be great to add some spice in your lives.

7. Regular physical contact (which may not be sexual) is necessary for leading a satisfying relationship. So, often touch and rub different body parts while relaxing. You can also massage each other with some aromatic oils.

8. Plant a goodbye kiss on his or her cheek while leaving for office. After returning home, greet your partner with a warm hug.

9. Sometimes, instead of going out, cook some homemade delicacies together and create a restaurant-like ambience at your home for having a romantic dinner, not to forget the flowers and candles!

10. Try to take some time out from your busy schedule to be with each other. Spending quality time together will make your bond stronger.

11. Be honest toward your work and never neglect your profession. Remember that if you are successful, your spouse will be the happiest person on the earth and the love for you will grow.

12. Help in making each other’s dreams come true. Try to understand your partner’s innermost desires, be it something personal or professional, and lend her a hand for realizing them.

13. Give each other the respect you both deserve, because without mutual respect, love cannot sustain.

14. Two-way communication is required in any sort of relationship and in a marital one it becomes mandatory. Otherwise, how can you get a clear idea regarding the physical and emotional yearnings of your spouse? Love just flies out of the window if couples do not communicate on an intimate level.

15. Pay attention to each other’s needs. Instead of arguing, lend a patient ear to each other’s words.

16. In a perfect relationship, both of you are required to give some space to each other. This will help your love for each other to develop.

17. You two may be poles apart, but there must be something common between you two – some interests or hobbies. The thrill of pursuing a common interest is altogether different. So, look for the magic.

18. You can get into proper discussions with each other and seek suggestions for revitalizing your relationship. Put forward your ideas too, but don’t force things.

19. Don’t just declare your plans, but also demonstrate them in action. If you succeed in keeping your promises, it will surely draw him or her closer to you and make him or her love you more.

20. If you are annoyed at something, don’t keep your anger suppressed. Go and have a heart-to-heart conversation.

21. After stepping into a party, set the dance floor on fire together. Thus, you can enjoy some joyous moments of togetherness.

22. Always make each other laugh. Whisper some raunchy jokes to enliven the sexual mood and also learn the tricks of playing romantic bedroom games.

23. Never strike out sex from your list of priorities, because regular sex is as important as having food or sleep. Try to find your partner’s secret sexual fantasies. Spend a good amount of time on some exciting and adventurous foreplay and then get into the sexual act. Nothing is more invigorating than a session of good sex.

24. Stimulating the minds of each other is also necessary besides stimulating the bodies. So, try to make her aroused intellectually.

So, are you ready to experiment with these tips? Just try them and you will surely find connubial bliss!
