Merry Xmas 2007

December 29, 2007

Few days back I was at Genting. Now I’m sitting in my room, suffering from allergies..well, I shall not talk about it…

Anyways, back to  Genting. It was a pleasant trip and I was very happy about it. I was surrounded by many beautiful people, in a beautiful place to celebrate Christmas.
Christmas always remind me on how time flies, Now is the time in my life where I get to do a lot of reflections. It’s not the easiest thing to do.

I came across this question, not along ago. The question remains however, am I just showing different facets of myself, or is there no unity to the self?
Is there one true self, who you really are?  I would say no.  Do you have a soul? I would say yes.

He asked. How can these ideas coexist?

To me, there is no one true self, there is no way that you will be, that you ought to be in the sense that if you don’t become that person you have betrayed your true nature.  While I do think it is possible that you may not have lived up to some kind of potential that exists in each of us, there is no preset amount of “greatness” that you could have accomplished.  Instead you have a soul, a part of the universe that is uniquely you, but what that soul is to become is up to you.  It is constructed by you and co-constructed by your environment, your peers….rite?

Oh well, it’s just me babbling here..it’s my blog after all :) Here are some pix Mikey took during our trip in Genting.

This is the room where it all began…

Salsa to The Malaysian Book of Records

September 11, 2007

Often it is said that you only get out of something what you put in. I wonder if that means, if we put a lot of effort into our ‘nows’ our ‘thens’ will be better but then again, we won’t need to go back because we’ll be building such a great present. Let’s be kind to ourselves and offer us a great present living life to it’s full… living it now … And let us be kind to others and help them with what we can.

*Post edited: I would like to insert this group picture*taken from James*. It was really great to see so many beautiful souls who came to contribute to the event and made it all possible! 15 hours next year yea… emoticon

Malaysian Salsa Marathon - Mission Accomplished

September 8, 2007

We have made it! 14 hours of salsa, breaking into the Malaysian Book of Record and raised funds for Leukaemia Children at Hospital University Kebangsaan Malaysia (HUKM).
I’m so proud of myself, and "EVERYONE" of you who was there to support this event! I wouldn’t have stayed all nite if it wasnt because of the tremendous spirit you guys have.

I’m too tired to blog about it now. But i need to satisfied Ms Angie (she’s bugging me on msn now) with some photos.

Mikey took this series of pix when I was dancing with Jacques. And i thought it turned out quite nice, dont you think? emoticon

As Jeamie was saying, with the rate of all the birthdays that are on….she might as well run a birthday event management company! Looking back, as good as Jeamie is at organising surprise birthday parties, she was once conned by us (the jayers) too. :)

But it was never an easy task, cause she’s is way too smart.

Flash back: Jeamie all smiley

Last week we had another blast. It was a day dedicated to 4 awesome August babies - Adrienne, Lena, Ruben and Jacques.

I felt like it was my birthday too. I danced, drink and got drunk, swore at myself, laughed and had supper at 3am!

Actually, i didnt get drunk that nite, i got sleepy.

Jeamie didnt get drunk, but she got high :P

I Wonder

July 10, 2007

Been doing a lot of thinking lately.

I wonder, I wonder what is it that is lacking?

Do others feel it?

I wonder do others feel or know the emptiness of being so lonely in the big busy bustling world where we live - phones, computers, shopping, work, driving in traffic, eating out, television, family, friends, neighbours, passers by - just the world in which we live. Yet loneliness echoes deep and long; a beautiful rhythmic surg of ebb and flow, sweet sadness with a hint of deep sorrow together mingled with the warmth of the lighter side of life. It takes the lighter side of life to make some kind of comparison; a basis to give the portrait it’s shading – light and dark.

There are also those moments where we laughed till we cried, cried till we laughed and just sat in silence contented and placated with the wonder of living…

How do you spell F-U-N?

June 27, 2007

I was there at 5.30pm, I reached home at 5am.

I was there sober, I reached home so high..i could touch the sky.

I was there hungry, I reached home all filled up with laughter, joy, satisfaction with Mojito & roti sardin.

I was there in one-piece, I reached home with few pieces. My upper body & lower body was literally "Detached"

Was it fun? Oooh yea!
