There are many mobile providers out there offering great deals and promotions for customers. But what is really good for us? When it comes to making decision between a contract and prepaid phones, we have to take in several considerations.

Many of us dread signing contracts, especially when it involves cell phones. Prepaid cell phones are a good option for certain types of individuals. Some people don’t want to commit to a 2-year contract. Some people don’t have enough credit to qualify. Others just don’t use their phones enough to justify a big monthly bill. To overcome this, many seek for prepaid phones as it is more convenient, and there are no contract obligations. Besides, we do not want to be tied to a certain plan on particular services. Therefore, it is better to pay-as-you-go. It allows one to control their monthly spending and pay accordingly.

prepaid phones have its advantages. It fits in individual lifestyle, as some of us may not use mobile phone as frequently. To some who prefer to keep track on their monthly usage, a prepaid phone is a good alternatives.

While prepaid cell phones can be great for occasional use, as a smart consumer we must beware of the cost of a call. Calls can be more expensive on a per-minute basis compare to a contract plan. Therefore it is wise to check on the details before buying. Another tricky part is the expiration date.
